Causes Of Sensory Loss The main causes of sensory loss includes but not limited to people’s age, a lot of people tend to lose a significant part of their sensory either hearing, visual or both due to age at the, environmental factors e.g. noise is another factor that contributes to hearing loss, if anyone is continuously exposed to loud noise it can cause hearing loss, injury or physical trauma, also contributes to sight loss and diseases which are congenital or acquired can also contribute to sensory loss. Deafblindness is often caused from genetic conditions such as Down syndrome. Other causes can be excessive alcohol or drugs induces by pregnant mother viral infection such as rubella during pregnancy. Most people with acquired Deafblindness have been able to see or hear for most of their lives.
