Functions and responsibilities • It also ensures all the companies and businesses comply with the Companies Commission of Malaysia Act and laws. • It is their responsible to act as the agent of government in the collection, administration and enforcement the payment of prescribe fees and other charges under the enforcement of laws. • All the corporations, companies and businesses affairs that related to law administered is regulated by CCM as one of their responsibilities.
• CCM is responsible to inculcate ethical conduct amongst the directors, managers and management of the corporation. It also encourages self-regulated corporations, professional bodies and industry groups to conduct business that establish good corporate governance. • They also have to conduct research and investigation on issues in relation to companies, corporations and businesses. • CCM act as an adviser to Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs on matters pertaining to companies, businesses and corporations. • CCM carries out relevant and appropriate activities to ensure effective administration and proficient implementation of the CCM’s functions listed within the Act.
