Husband and wife are the two basic pillars of a family relationship. Husband and wife should play an equal role for a healthy relationship. In an equal relationship, partners can enjoy doing things together while valuing each other’s need to pursue other welfares as well. It is high time to talk seriously about marriage equality, it is not wedding we should be considering at, but marriages themselves.
Indicated that 77% of married women do more housework than their husbands, while just one in 10 married men do an equal amount of housework as their wives. Women also take on the majority of caring responsibilities for children, other relatives, household chores and even go to work. Where men’s only go to office jobs and thinks they are doing everything that their family needs.
If a woman can handle both the side equally why men cannot do so? For example; If husband and wife go to work they even can divide house chores and other responsibility equally, so wives also have some time for rest. Progressively, many men are becoming inactive in the home. They’ve decided that the easiest thing to do is, doing nothing. A man, who is supporting his family, should know that a woman is also a human being like man.
She also has desires and the rights of freedom and a life. Marrying a woman is not hiring a servant, but it is a selection of a companion and a friend who could live with for the rest of one’s life. A man has to take care of her and her desires. Man is not the owner of his wife and in fact, a woman has certain rights upon her husband. And, of course, this inequality applies outside marriage too.
Most of the women want her husband to be that kind of a man her sons would want to follow, and her daughter would want to get married to.
