It was a hot day, and me and my friends decided to go to the beach for a week. I could see the bright yellow sun, blistering in the sky as we were on our way to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.

After hours of driving the air- temperature went down and the traffic lanes were starting to get narrower which says we were getting closer to the beach. We parked our car at the top of the parking garage and we made our way inside the resort. Walking forward I could look over and see the salty water, which was dirty and dark. As soon as we went down to the beach I put my feet in the sand and could feel the burning sensation on the bottom of my feet. I could hear the waves crashing and feel the sea breeze.

The beach was swamped with people as I looked all around me. To the right of me if could see people on different colored beach towels such as pink, yellow, blue, red, and some with tropical flowers. I looked to my left and could see kids building sandcastles. We all ran toward the ocean and jumped into the waves. For hours and hours, we swam. It was around five o clock when we got out of the ocean and went back to the resort to swim in the pool outside.

We all jumped in the pool and water went flying everywhere. When I was under the water I had my mouth open and all I could taste was the chemicals of the pool. We swam for an hour then we went back up to our room. Once we got back in our room I went on the balcony and watched the bright red glowing sun set down over the watery horizon.
