Opened in 1936 under the name of Hayley, Corbett received its status as the oldest and most prestigious national park in India. In 1973, the famous Tiger Project was launched here. This unique tiger territory was created by the founders in order to protect 650 endangered species. The park covers an area of ??520 square kilometers and includes hills, marshland, wide lakes, river zones and meadows.
