The projects that being given to me are understand SOP of machine that used to make medicine, verify the quality of product through testing analysis and learning from operator controlling process. Objectives of the project To deliver high-quality, affordable generic and branded generic medicines to patients.
To lay down standard operating procedures of machines. To get more experience on controlling process of machine and verifying the quality of product. 1.2.2 Scope of projects Based on the objectives, the scope of the study of this work are: Ensure effective organizations, leadership and management. During my training I was distributed in different units starting from powdering area then to compression, coating, blistering, ointment and ending in liquid.
Powdering areaThe raw material is sent to weighing area by warehouse and before that the room must be cleaned carefully to make sure there is no suspend material left there, after that it move to powder blinding and granulation. Powder blinding My work there were to write code NO. of each bag in Batch Manufacture Record (BMR), check the weight of bags before they move to blinder and learning standard operating procedure for V-blinder machine: The process of powder blinding about solid dose and powder contain multiple ingredients, these include an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) and numerous excipients which include fillers, binders to name a few 2.1.2 Granulation After blending powder the material then move to granulation process, in the pharmaceutical industry, granulation refers to the act or process in which primary powder particles are made to form larger, multiparticle entities called granules. Granulation it’s the process of collecting particles together by creating bonds between them.
Bonds are formed by compression 2.2 Tablet Compression After the preparation of granules they are compressed to get final product. There are two machines are used Sejong MRC for tablets and capsuling machine. And my job here was to testify the hardness and weight of tablets by using analyzes testing machine. The compression is done by single punch machine The tablet press is a high-speed mechanical device. It compresses the ingredients into the required tablet shape with extreme accurate.
It can make the tablet in many shapes, although they are usually round or oval. Also, When the powder being compression as tablets then the coating process it’s applies an eaten paint on the surface of a pharmaceutical dosage form to achieve specific benefits. This is an additional process in tableting which causes an increase in the cost of tablet production. During this process I was recording temperature of solution that will cover tablets which should be between 55 ?C to 70 ?C and trying final product on HCL solution to verify whether can be dissolve in stomach or not. 2.3.1 Objectives of coating:To mask the unpleasant odor, color or taste of the tablet. To offer a physical or chemical protection to the drug.
