Then Watson shows the answer in human language. Watson can do extraordinary tasks such as it can analyze the data in more than 100 techniques, specify its source, producing hypotheses and give the evidence to support it then combine them together in order to find the best answer. also, Watson can compete the human level in the confidence and speed required furthermore it helps in decision making which required to exceed the human intelligence to improve the performances.
IBM built Watson on advanced techniques based on DeepQA (Deep Question Answering) which use in (software) set of different technologies such as text mining and text analytics, that make Watson analyze and provide suitable answer. Also, DeepQA has been used to recognize the natural human language to analyze Questions that have been asked. on the other hand, the hardware that Watson used is consists of parallel processing architecture that depends on DeepQA technology which helps in create hypotheses and collect evidences. As we said before, Watson has advanced abilities that outperform the old systems.
The superiority of the program was due to several pillars. massive parallelism was one of the most important basis in Watson. Looking at assumptions and interpretations in parallel was major part of the success of Watson’s work. Also many experts – to simplify the integration, application and it help in the evaluation of questions. pervasive confidence estimation, all components can produce feature, but they are also weighed according to the confidence associated with them. last one is, the ability to integrate shallow and deep knowledge. IBM want to have a progression in its field and to discover new ways that could help in business to beat competitors. if Watson works well it will have a competitive advantage over the competitors. Self-driving vehicles or ‘driverless’ car: is a car that can drive safely from one point to another by itself without human control it depends on specific number of sensors that can make a suitable action according to the external situations. also, it used high-powered cameras to take input from the outside situation and process it to send instructions to the system to control the driving process. it used GPS technology, lasers and anti-lock braking systems to have more safety. the system collect information about other cars and if there are people walking and obstacles on the street and then combine them to see the whole picture and decide the appropriate decision. the Self-driving car proved that it is safer and less accidents which means it is better than most human driving, also human can break the law but Self-driving cars will not. the Eno Centre for Transportation reported that if there are 10 percent of self-driving cars, accidents deaths will decrease by 1000 per year. there are several technology companies that developed self-driving cars such as, Google, Tesla, Nissan.
