There is a difference between working relationships and personal relationships. A working relationship is very different to a personal relationship. A working relationship means a relationship with a work colleague, you don’t get a choice with who you work with and, not only do you have codes of conduct to follow you will also have workplace policies and procedures, you are both working towards goals that will benefit the residents and the workplace. You wouldn’t share personal information and things about family as you would with friends.
You wouldn’t be emotionally attached in a working relationship where you would in personal one. On the other hand, a personal relationship usually refer to close relation between people, this is formed by emotional interactions, these relationships would be more friendly and informal. This could be a friend, family member or a relationship with a partner. In a personal relationship you usually communicate informally.
