“Where is the Love” is a very serious question throughout the world and so a group of artist made a music video in 2003 and 2016 about this for various events that most people didn’t have enough time to think about those situations.
There are a lot of events that are happening throughout the world for example: bombing, shooting and slaughtering of an entire country. My opinion about all this is that even if our world progresses through connecting we as people don’t. In both music videos that the Black Eyed Peas produced they talk about recent events that happened and made an impact in our society. When the 9/11 attack happened we were all at shock but instead of resolving to by word and peace the president of the United States resolved it with violence.
That caused life to be taken away from children when we could’ve made a peace treaty. The song indicates that racism is becoming a huge issue throughout our society. The Black Eyed Peas were giving a very powerful message to everyone through the letters they sang. In the whole first verse of the song that came out on 2016, “People killin’ people dyin’ Children hurtin’, I hear them cryin’ Can you practice what you preachin’? Would you turn the other cheek again? Mama, mama, mama, tell us what the hell is goin’ on Can’t we all just get along? Father, father, father help us Send some guidance from above ‘Cause people got me, got me Questioning (Where’s the love)” and as you can see from the words they are trying to make an impact to society to be grateful and help out others anyway you can.
When the song was re-released in 2016, it showed that many people can come together as a community and help those who are in need. It also showed how we can connect by having a common goal in mind. We can do such things like helping those in need in different countries that need our help but no one is willing to put any effort into this. What has the people of the world become and where is the love.
That is the main goal in all of this. And so for my overall opinion, I say that many people should consider what the song is referring too and so did what they can as a community we gather and helped or fellow people doesn’t matter what their race is or where they are from the only thing to have in mind is if someone needs a helping hand and you can offer that then please do so in anyway you can we need to be looking out for each other as we are one.
