Horses are often greatly admired because of their great physical strength and Boxer is no exception. Although Boxer stood at nearly eighteen hands tall and was thought to have the strength of two horses combined his lack of intelligence would lead him to blindly follow whoever was in charge of Manor Farm. Because of this, Boxer’s strength and dedication became a great asset to the rebellion but it also lead to his down fall. Boxer was known for being the most devoted and hardworking animal on the farm pushing himself to work harder than any other animal.
He showed unbending loyalty to the pigs and did not question their actions believing that they had always had the animals’ best interest in mind, much like how the proletariat believed Stalin’s intentions were always good.
