The diffusion of a particular type of rock depends necessarily on the factors leading to the formation of the rock, where the easier the formation of the rock, the more widespread the rock. In order for Carbonates rocks to have a proper formation, they should have a combination of environmental, biological, physical, and chemical factors combined together and available in the depositional area which is the shallow marine shelf. The shallow marine shelf is also known by the Carbonate factory because it has all the conditions for producing carbon rocks.
Carbonate rocks are formed in a chemical or biochemical manner. The formation is mainly composed of the calcium carbonate produced by the union of ions (Ca 2+) and (2 – Co3) dissolved in a super-saturated water phase in these ions. So they precipitate in the form of accumulations to give the calcareous rocks or by absorbing their living organisms and secrete their shells and structures.
