CHAPTER FOUR RESULTS AND DISCUSSION Table 4.1 Grid power Vs Time Grid power (kw) Time (s) 0.3 1 0.3 2 0.3 3 0.3 4 0.4 5 0.4 6 0.4 7 0.4 8 0.3 9 0.3 10 0.3 11 0.3 12 Fig. 4.1: Grid Energy Stability Vs Time Fig 4.1 Shows grid energy stability,the stability was highest at times 4,6,8 and 10 seconds at grid power of 0.4Kw while the least Time are 1,2 and 12 seconds respectively at a gridpower of 0.3Kw. Table 4.2 Grid Energy Stability Vs Time48 Renewable Energy stability Time 1.2 1 1.2 2 1.2 3 1.2 4 1.6 5 1.6 6 1.6 7 1.6 8 1.6 9 1.2 10 1.2 11 1.2 12 Fig 4.2 Renewable Energy Stability Vs Time Fig 4.2 Shows the renewable energy stability vs time. Fig 4.2 Shows that renewable energy is highest at a time of 4,6,8 and 10 seconds while the renewable energy power stability is 1.6kw. Table 4.3 Comparism between Grid and Renewable Energy Stabilities Vs Time Grid stability Renewable Energy stability Time 0.3 1.2 1 0.3 1.2 2 0.3 1.2 3 0.3 1.2 4 0.3 1.6 5 0.4 1.6 6 0.4 1.6 7 0.4 1.6 8 0.4 1.6 9 0.3 1.2 10 0.3 1.2 11 0.3 1.2 12 Fig 4.3 Comparism between Grid and Renewable Energy Stabilities Vs Time Fig 4.3 Shows that the critical loads are more stable when renewable energy is used than when grid power is used.

Fig 4.3 Shows that at time of 4,6, 8 and 10 seconds the renewable energy power stability is 1.6kw while that of grid power stability is 9.4kw. Household / Parastatal Energy Consumption Pattern Appliances Tick if used Quantity (number) Power Rating (watt) Time Duration of Daily electricity Consumption (usage) in hours (e.g 19: 00 – 24:00) Mon Tue Wed Thus Fri Sat Sun Fridge/Freezer DVD (CD + Video player) ? 1 5,000w ? ? ? ? ? ? ? It shows that when the power rating is 1000w the number of quatity used is 1.On the other hand when the rating is 60w the quantity is 1.6 CHAPTER FIVE CONCLUSION 5.1 General conclusion The following sequential steps were used to achieve the impact of integrating renewable energy sources for rural electrification optimization using an intelligent agent determining available sources of renewable energy in Amoli community, analysizing the energy demand for a cluster of building/facilities in Amoli community, optimizing the energy demand for a cluster of building facilities in Amoli, designing an optimized intelligent agent for an effective power stability,Createing a chart of the required number of recommended energy system to meet the various energy demand level., designing a Simulink model for the impact of integrating renewable energy sources for rural electrification optimization using an intelligent agent. 5.2 Findings I Harmonic distortion causes unstable power supply.

ii Overcurrnt, overvoltage, causes instability of power supply. iii Stability of power supply in rural areas will enhance development. iv Stable power supply creats employment opportunity. 5.3 Recommendations In near future there should be an introduction of an optimized intelligent agent incorporated in the grid for a stable power supply.
