The theme of paper towns is the way see people may not be true. Throughout the book, Quentin always saw Margo as a miracle and this great human being when in reality she was a lonely sad girl who didn’t have any real friends. She loved old music and has so many problems that she herself called her paper girl. This theme is shown by Quentin, as he follows the clues he learns more about Margo and who she really was. Margo loved being in an abandoned place called the “Osprey” she loved old music and traveling. “This Land is Your Land a folk singer sang about the working class.
I can’t imagine she likes his songs.” This quote explains that no matter how much you know someone there parts that you don’t really know about them. Radar was surprised she listened to that kind of music. Margo was just a girl she put on this front of this wild popular adventurous person when in reality she had no one everyone expected her to be Margo Roth Spiegelman. She likes poetry and folk music. In conclusion we shouldn’t assume things about people it may not be true.
